Big Day!

LeLe went to visit Bright Horizons today. Bright Horizons is the Blue Cross day care. LeLe has been on the list since I was very early pregnant with her. She had a spot when she was very very young but since I had just returned to work, I had a hard time letting her go. So, we went to the bottom of the list. Anyway, we found out that LeLe will begin Bright Horizons on August 17th. So, August 17th, isn't a working day for me but she will still go to visit then.

In an effort to make her feel comfortable, we decided to let her visit a week early. I was to stay in the room while she played. We met her wonderful teachers and she quickly warmed up to standing in the room. She eventually found the nerve to pick a piece of fruit out of the basket when she quickly got chomped down on by another little girl in the class.

Unfortunately, this didn't make a wonderful impression on little LeLe as she quickly became very weary of the other children.

After speaking with the director and some overreacting from me, LeLe will be moving to a different classroom with children closer to her age. So, we went today to visit again. This time, we had a wonderful experience. Please say a prayer for me this week as this is a huge adjustment in the Holland household. OKay, more so for me than her but regardless, it is an adjustment. Stay tuned for tomorrow's First Day of School pictures!

After we visited at Bright Horizons, we met Bobo and Pappy at PetSmart to see Hossy get his haircut. LeLe thoroughly enjoyed the pet store. In her normal fashion, she kissed the birds, rats, mice, hamsters, cats, and fish. We would even tell her that it was nasty but she would quickly correct us and tell us that she "woved them". So, kisses she gave.

She enjoyed watching Hossy get his haircut but she was much more IN LOVE with the Baby Bop and BJ that Bobo had purchased for her. So much in love, that she wouldn't put them down...for the entire day!! Thanks Bobo for the wonderful gift of BJ and BabyBop!!
