Trip to Beach

Matt, LeLe and I left for the beach around 10:00 Wednesday morning. We ran by Bobo and Pappy's house and picked up the grill for Matt to take down. He is staying until Friday, May 9th! Laura Elizabeth slept all the way down to the beach waking up on the beach side of Foley. We drove directly to Sea N Suds and had the famous shrimp and oyster sandwiches. We then went to get the keys to our condo. The condo was really nice. We then made a trip to Wal-Mart. We realized that we had forgotten LeLe's bouncy seat at the house. So, we picked another one up at Wal-Mart. I don't think that we can make it through the week without it! LeLe took a great nap in the afternoon. As you can see, she is in a relaxing mood!

4 Month Check-up

Laura Elizabeth went today for her 4 month check-up. She weighed in at 14 lbs 3 oz (75th percentile) and was 25 1/4 inches long (90th percentile). She wasn't as big as we all had guessed (Bobo-15 lbs, Me-16 lbs, Matt-17 lbs, Pappy-18 lbs). Doctor Huie said that she was PERFECTLY healthy. He said not to introduce her to cereal or stage 1 foods since she is "thriving". We spoke to him about sunscreen, bottles, and sleeping. Matt and I are so thankful that Laura Elizabeth is so healthy. God is so Good!

We are leaving on Wednesday to go to the beach! I am already starting to pack the car. I believe that I am going to pack the whole house!

Going to Church

Laura Elizabeth went to church for the second time today. It was the first time for her to stay in a "public" nursery. According to the nursery workers, she was an absolute doll. When we went to get her from her classroom, she was sitting in an exersaucer. The sweet little ladies in the nursery said that she had been in there almost the entire time. She smiled when she saw us coming. She looked very bald compared to the other children but she was by far the youngest in her class.

When we got home, we setup the Jumperoo that Aunt Laura gave to us. She could touch the ground but couldn't reach any of the toys. Matt decided to send me to Babies R Us to get her an exersaucer. He was so proud of her!

Eventful Day

This morning, Bobo decided to not put her car in park. It rolled down the hill and ended up in the neighbors bush. Luckily, it missed the brick house by about an inch! We were scared to death but luckily, there is not a lot of damage to Bobo's car.

Laura Elizabeth is getting so big!! She now rolls all over the place (still just from back to front). However, she can manage to start off of a blanket and end up across the room on her stomach. She also is "talking" a lot! Matt and I are so fortunate....she has slept from 8:00 am to 7:30 am for a SOLID week!!

Playing Outside

Tonight, we sat Laura Elizabeth outside while Matt grilled and played with the dogs. She thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather. Every time Boomer brought back his toy, he would run check to make sure she was okay. At one point, I was able to sneak in a camera shot of the two of them.

Visit from Buddy and Pops

Buddy and Pops came by to visit today. They could not believe how much Laura Elizabeth has grown since Easter. LeLe cooed for them for a long time. We are so happy that they came to visit even they could not stay long.

Dinner with the Welborns

Matt, Laura Elizabeth and I met the Welborns out to dinner at Superior Grill. LeLe enjoyed watching Hall and Adison. We had a fantastic time as always!

This morning when Laura Elizabeth woke up, she was on her stomach!! She practiced all day rolling over. I am afraid that before too much longer, she won't even sit still for her bouncy seat!

Daddy's Little Girl

Laura Elizabeth loves to talk to her daddy. She will talk and smile at him regardless of the time of day or her mood. Last night, we put her in her bumbo seat at the bar with Matt. She had a lot to tell her daddy about the day's events.

Busy Day!

Laura Elizabeth slept from 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM this morning! We were so excited that she is such a good little little sleeper.

Matt and I decided to go with the Skinners to the "A" Day game. Laura Elizabeth stayed with Baby Saxon at Laura's house. Our sweet cousin Lauren took care of them both while Anne Reaves headed to the game with us. We were able to join in all of the festivities and enjoy the beautiful weather. We had a great time watching Anne Reaves' reaction to the game day!

When we got home, Laura Elizabeth decided to show us some tricks! She rolled over! She rolled from her back to her belly while playing with her kick toy. As you can see, she landed right beside my shoes!

We have had one great action packed and exciting day!

Getting Ready to Party!

The Skinner family came in town today to get ready for Saxon's First birthday party tomorrow. Laura, Anne Reaves, LeLe and I burned up the roads getting last minute items. The party is tomorrow at the zoo and we are so excited.

Anne Reaves came to our house for just a few minutes. She decided that she wanted to rock Baby LeLe. It gave me a great photo opportunity.

We continue to pray for Baby Allie. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she is still in CICU at UAB.

Getting Ready for a Bath

Laura Elizabeth loves being naked. I guess having just a diaper on is the next best thing. She is such a happy baby and is really learning to kick those thunder thighs.

Praying for Allie

Please take a moment today and say a prayer for sweet little Allie Lovell. She is undergoing heart surgery to repair two holes in her little heart. You can check out her status as www.allielovell.blogspot.com. We are doing great at the Holland house and we are so thankful for our health.
