Painting the House

We got some painters over to paint the main level of the house. It looks so very different than it did before. I am so excited. Mother and Laura have been trying to get me to commit to doing stuff to the house but my hobbies are much more fun. Finally, I decided to go ahead and move forward. So, a couple of weeks ago, we ran to King Cotton in Tuscaloosa and got me some fabric for my bedroom. Then, today, painters appeared to begin all of the new work.

Lauren graciously offered to babysit LeLe while the painters were here. She took them to her aunt and uncles house where LeLe could swim. LeLe especially had a wonderful time on the slide. Lauren said that when she would get to the bottom, she would say "awesome" and then "again"!!

We definitely have a little dare devil on our hands!

Bubbles! Bubbles! Bubbles!

LeLe is OBSESSED with Bubbles. If you even mention the word, she won't let you forget it. She will say "bubbles" until you give them to you or go nuts. Tonight, I am going to my monthly sit n sew so I decided to buy LeLe a bubble machine for her daddy time. It was a HIT!!

She has now learned to do a huge smile and say "cheese" when you grab the camera. As you can tell, it is a very natural smile. :)

LeLe's skin is so sensitive that after we played, she had huge big red eyes. So, we ended up with more bubbles in the bathtub.

Climbing....everywhere

LeLe has now mastered climbing. She has been found many many places including inside her high chair, in my bed...and now, playing on the computer.

Anne Reaves Dance Recital

We all headed to Tuscaloosa to watch Anne Reaves' first dance recital. She was absolutely fantastic. I had asked her to stop in the middle of the performance and yell "HEY AUNT KATIE". Well, she didn't quite do what I asked but she did stop in the middle of the performance to look for me in the crowd.

LeLe didn't really enjoy the performance but Anne Reaves said that she had to come. We had a really good time watching all of the little children dance....or not. :) LeLe did however really enjoy seeing Saxon. She loves Saxon and has asked for her every day since then.

They did a recital called calendar girls where each class dressed up for each month. Anne Reaves was October hence a black cat. She was the best cat out there.

Rocky Rocky Rocky Rocky

We pulled out a rocking horse that we have had for LeLe for almost a year! I actually had planned on giving it as part of her Easter but obviously forgot. So, since today was such a yucky rainy day, we pulled it out. SHE LOVED IT and of course we had to sing "rocky, rocky, rocky, rocky".

Visit from the Skinners

Laura came over with the girls to visit on Friday. We were all so upset about daddy that we decided to have a little time together. Anne Reaves and Saxon ended up spending the night with mother and dad. All of the girls had a fun time playing on the swing set outside.

On Friday night, the Allen family came over and brought Sara Kate, Jason and Baby Samuel. We brought the famous bouncy seat down from the attic for Baby Samuel. LeLe ended up climbing in it before the night was done. I had to take a picture just for giggles considering how much she has grown over the past year!!

Watercolors

Matt, LeLe and I headed down to Watercolors after LeLe's last day at school. It was very sad to know that she won't be back until the fall. Miss Linda and Miss Christy were sad to see her go. They were bragging on how well she speaks and how much she has grown over the past several months.

After we picked up LeLe from Hunter Street, we headed to Watercolors. The drive was LONG. We ran into some construction in Montgomery which delayed our trip a couple of hours. When we finally got to the resort, I decided that it was a good idea for us to walk down to SeaSide..WRONG!! LeLe was fit to be tied. Matt and I decided to head back and order pizza for dinner. LeLe ended up eating 2 pieces of Pizza!

On Friday morning, Matt headed down to setup for his meeting. I ended up heading to Panama City to find me some new bathingsuits. I had to hit up Target too. Little did I know that there was a target about 5 minutes from where we were staying...oh well.

LeLe ended up taking a nap for most of the afternoon. When she finally woke up 3 hours later, we headed down to the beach for a little while. She has fallen in love with the rug on the bathroom floor. I couldn't find her for a few minutes, I finally checked in the bathroom and she was laying on the rug with Big Bear eating her cheese crackers.

On Saturday, we headed back to the beach with several friends of Matt's. After beaching it for a little while, we headed to the pool. Everyone could not believe how well LeLe could swim. I actually put her face down into the pool and she rolled herself over to her back several times. I was so proud of her. We all went to Stinky's Fish Camp for dinner. LeLe had a wonderful time playing with Dr. Robinson's daughters, McClain and Macy. She enjoyed a martini too! The food was fantastic!

Watercolors...Here we come!

In an effort to get the clothes packed for our trip, Matt took LeLe outside to swing. These days, she enjoys the slide (thanks to Ryan's party) much more than she does the swing. She was going so fast though I really wasn't able to get a good shot. Afterward, she wouldn't stay still long enough to get a picture either...so here you go...LeLe at 16 months! Can you say ACTIVE??

We are leaving for Watercolors in the morning. LeLe graduated from swimming lessons tonight! If I can figure out how to add a video, I hope to add it soon. It is amazing. She can roll over from face down in the water to floating on her back. I am very impressed with our little angel!

Tomorrow is LeLe's last day of school. I cannot believe that it is already May and that time has flown by so fast! The teachers at school cannot believe her vocabulary. They too have started calling her "Hurricane".

Happy Mother's Day!

Matt, LeLe and I headed to Pell City to visit the Holland family for Mother's Day. We were joined by the Allen family. LeLe had a wonderful time playing with Sara Kate, Samuel and Jason. She also LOVED playing the rain. Luckily, I brought several different changes of outfits. I believe that we ended up changing her a few times before we ended up leaving.

Surprisingly, the rain stopped long enough for us to get in a short boat ride. As you can tell, LeLe LOVED it. She didn't care much for the life jacket but definitely liked pointing out the ducks and watching the water on the side of the boat.

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Tonight, we went to Ryan's 2nd Birthday party! Ryan is the little boy who LeLe kissed at swimming lessons. His birthday party was at Pump It Up in Pelham. This is the first time that LeLe has been to a jump party. She had a BLAST! I am sure that you can tell from the pictures. Matt and I had a hard time keeping up with her. She LOVED the slides. Especially, the BIG ones!! Did I mention that we had to carry her up to the top of the slide? Of course, she wanted to walk but they were so steep that we had a hard time getting her up to the top. Good thing she is still pretty little. She played so much that she decided to eat the whole piece of Pizza!! Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Happy Mother's Day Bobo!

Laura and I met in Tuscaloosa to finally get me some fabric for my house. I have been putting it off for over a year and I have finally decided that it is time to finish working on the house. We ended up getting some beautiful fabric at King Cotton. Luckily, the lady there sews. I know...I could make the curtains..BUT..I would much rather sew for the kids.

After picking out my fabric, we headed to Olive Garden for Mother's lunch. Anne Reaves was so excited about having BoBo and LeLe both there...she didn't even notice poor Aunt Katie. Saxon, however, was all about Aunt Katie which thrilled my heart.

Matt is finally back from his week at the beach with his company. Of course, we are excited to have him back. Happy Mother's Day Bobo!

Happy Birthday Caroline

My friend Cydney invited LeLe to her daughter's birthday party. LeLe has played with Caroline on multiple occasions. LeLe loves watching Caroline and enjoys trying to copy her. Caroline's birthday party was at SoHo Sweets in Homewood and was absolutely precious!

I was so surprised that LeLe stayed in her seat during the party. She enjoyed the ice cream and watching the other children!

Happy Birthday Caroline!
