Happy Halloween!!

We had a WONDERFUL day of Halloween!!

We started off at 10:00 at Emily Kullman's 3rd Birthday! It was a FANTASTIC party and was a bunch of fun. All of the kids dressed up in their costumes and played several carnival like games. We then ate hot dogs and sang Happy Birthday to Emily. LeLe was very into the singing....we had to practice, the whole way there...replacing my name with Emily's.

When we came home from the birthday, LeLe quickly went down for a nap. She had completely worn herself out playing with all of the children at the birthday party and slept from 12:45 to 4:45. When she woke up, we quickly dressed her in her Halloween attire and loaded her up for the trick or treating festivities. We had to stop by Bobo and Pappy's house first and then we were off to the Halloween parade at Lake Crest with the Wilkins family. They fed us all dinner and then we then walked around their neighborhood and loaded up on some candy. LeLe would start saying "trick or treat" before she ever made it to the door. As soon as the door would open, she would walk right into the house and then pronounce, "trick or treat candy?". As soon as they gave her the candy, she would tell them thank you. If they didn't respond, she would say "welcome" and walk out of their house. I believe that the kid can open candy faster than any human being. She had most of the candy opened before we made it to the car. Unfortuately, it got cold fairly quickly so we were unable to spend a lot of time with the Wilkins family...who was so nice to offer their house and festivities.

Mark took these beautiful pictures of LeLe on Halloween.

Happy Birthday Me!

Well, today marked my 32nd birthday. I had been telling everyone for weeks that I was turning 33 but after further calculation, I figured out that I am really just 32. Wow! Am I not a very fortunate girl....I have a WONDERFUL family, a healthy beautiful child and a loving husband. What more could I ask for on my birthday??
How about to come home to a home cooked meal and 2 very loving parents?

Mother cooked my favorite meal for my birthday. Dad came over to join in the festivities and then we sang Happy Birthday!! LeLe had such a great time singing...we had to do it twice.

LeLe is also 22 months old today. She now can count to 15 and can say the alphabet. We are working on colors but have yet to really have them mastered. She LOVES to play pony in the bed with her daddy and also loves to color. She is actually getting pretty skilled at it. She has to have 150 dolls in bed with her and knows each thing by name. She continues to enjoy Barney videos and knows a bunch of the songs. She is such a happy and loving little girl.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes!

Zoo Fun!

LeLe and I met Paige and Carys Chambers at the zoo today. The girls had a fantastic time seeing all of the animals and riding the carosel. Paige and I had a great time catching up. I am really enjoying my Monday and Fridays off of work.

For dinner, Matt and I met Alex and Hollie for a early birthday dinner. As you can tell, LeLe enjoyed her ring pop!

LeLe starring as Minnie Mouse

Okay, so Minnie probably wears a shirt...regardless, LeLe has found the Minnie Mouse ears that Aunt Laura gave her last Christmas and has fallen in love.

Build A Bear

I took off work today so that Bobo could take Pappy to UAB. Fortunately, we got some good news. We won't know the extent of it until we get his MRI results but we are praying that he may have some treatment options for his liver cancer. He goes back on November 9th, so please keep him in your prayers.

As for us, LeLe and I headed to meet some friends for a Halloween Build-A-Bear party. I didn't come equiped with the other 2 animals that we already have so therefore, we had to get a new one.....with a costume. After much consideration, LeLe decided to opt for Hello Kitty. I was trying to twist her arm for one of the $10 ones but what can I say...she has expensive taste.

LeLe looked like a pro filling up the "kitty". She then decided to pick her out a Sleeping Beauty costume. Unfortunately, "Kitty" has a big head so in relation to her body, she looks pretty funny. Regardless, Kitty has made her spot in LeLe's bed.

We had a WONDERFUL time meeting all of the friends at Build-A-Bear. I enjoyed spending time with my sewing buddy, Cydney. After Build-A-Bear, we rode the carosel. LeLe loves to jump from one animal to another. We then grabbed some lunch and rushed home for a quick nap.

Upon waking, we headed to the Vestavia Fall Carnival at Alex's school. Alex was ADORABLE and was very happy to see his little cousin, LeLe. LeLe was just as excited to see Alex and wanted to hold his hand the entire time. She ate cotton candy for the first time and it was a hit! We enjoyed watching Alex do several of the activities and even joined in a few ourselves. Thanks Hollie and Alex for letting us come.

When it came bedtime, LeLe was out of it. Let me just say, even though it is very hard for her to find a spot to sleep, she knows if ONE of the animals is missing from the bed and knows each one of these things by name...I believe that there are about 30+ creatures in her bed....some are underneath the HUGE elephant (aka Big Al)!

Matt is out of town through the weekend. We are already ready for him to come home.

Our doggy Sadie...

Matt surprised me with Sadie the first Christmas we were married. Sadie has provided us with a lot of love and attention (not to mention all the house repairs). A few months ago, I watched the movie Marley and Me. I cried so much that I gave myself a headache. Sadie takes abuse from all of us as LeLe hugs, kisses and pets her often. In her "golden" years (or rather her graying years), Sadie has decided that she would stay in bed while the rest of us get up to face the day. So, for today's picture, just a snapshot of our "Sadie girl".

Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday, we decided to load up and go to the Old Baker Farm in Harpersville. We had planned on going on Saturday but due to the weather, postponed until Sunday. We got there really early because we didn't realize that they didn't open until 1:00. Regardless, LeLe had a FANTASTIC time riding the horse and searching for the perfect pumpkin. She had a unique way of picking out a pumpkin....sitting on them. We tried out a LOT of pumpkins but then ended up with 2 normal ole pumpkins.

LeLe had a great time looking at the goose, duck, goat, donkey, horse and every other moving creature on the farm. I was excited about the candy apple too! It was a great family time.

School Days

As I have stated before, LeLe goes to Hunter Street 2 days a week. She loves it!! Here are just some shots before one day at school.

LeLe is growing like a weed. She can now count to 10 on command. Actually, she will count almost anything just for the heck of it. She is very close to knowing her alphabet and LOVES PUMPKINS!!

She has an obsession over pumpkins and "jack-er-urns". She absolutely adores her daddy. The other night, LeLe had a hard time putting herself to sleep. Normally, we put her to bed around 8:15 and she is sound asleep by 8:45. But, for some reason, she had a LONG conversation with the 70+ animals in her bed and at 10:15 she was still talking to them. So, Matt went and got her. The next thing I know, I hear "ride pony daddy" and I walk into our bedroom to find her on his back riding the pony. Oh me! We have our hands full.

We are starting to get ready for our new little man. We have been talking a lot about a "big girl bed" and starting cleaning out the room upstairs for LeLe to move. Matt and I haven't decided if we will move her to the new room and keep her in a crib (of Laura's) or if we will go ahead and make the change in one fail swoop to a big girl bed. Regardless, it is a big change for me....but something that has to be done.

October...

Well, as most of you know, October is one of my favorite months....not only because I celebrate my birthday (the WHOLE MONTH) but because the weather and everything is usually just so pleasant.

LeLe is growing like a weed. She is in love with her new "cat" pajamas. I am not sure why she has such an infatuation on cats but she LOVES them. So, in honor of Halloween, she got cat pajamas. She loves petting the cat on her pajamas (even though he isn't soft).

She loves playing with her daddy. She has learned to feed the dogs. So, she now has a nightly chore. She will take a handful of dog food and manually put it in a cup. She then pours the cup of dog food in the bowl. It normally takes her about 10minutes but she does it!! She then will get their bowls and put them in their respective places before letting the dogs back into the house.

We still haven't mastered our colors. Everything is "green". However, she can pick out the correct crayon when you ask her for a specific color. She is beginning to really know the alphabet and has mastered counting to 10.

OH! She also loves her Bobo!
