Thursday Thrills

LeLe is becoming such a great talker. She is now putting multiple words together. "MaMa's Drink", "Don't Like it", and of course.."no way". She is growing so fast. We are at the point to where we really have to be cautious of our vocabulary.

She is still doing swimming lessons nightly at the Fitness 119 location. She is doing very well floating and is now working on rolling from her belly to her back so that she will be able to rescue herself at some point.

As you can tell, her hair is definitely growing. FINALLY!! She definitely has some WILD hair! We wet it and comb it down every morning, afternoon and night but it still goes 800 different directions.

Tonight, our good friends, the Welborns came by to watch LeLe swim. LeLe was so excited to see Hall and Adison! LeLe continues to LOVE the outside. I will never forget in our prenatal class the instructor asked the dad's what traits that they wanted the baby to have....as we went around the room, the father's would say, "I want the baby to look like my wife", "I want the baby to have my wife's eyes", "I want the baby to have my wife's hands",and then...came Matt...."I want my baby to like outside". Well babe, you got your wish!

Saturday with Sasha

My Aunt Lisa called on Friday and was having LeLe withdrawals. So, on Saturday morning, she dropped by to have a day with LeLe. When LeLe woke up from her nap, we loaded her into the "Sasha's" car. When I went to close the door, LeLe said "Have Fun". She never even looked back. Lisa ended up carrying LeLe to the Bright Star for lunch and then to Wal-Mart. Of course, LeLe came home with more stuff than she left the house with.

Matt and I were thrilled to get some yard work done. We ended up planting about 9 flats of impatients, some petunias, geraniums, and a few more random flowers that I cannot pronounce. Anyway, Matt and I had a great time spending time with one another in the yard.

LeLe was exhausted when I picked up her up from Lisa's. Thanks Lisa for keeping Hurricane!

Stinky Saturday

We woke up to the same chilly weather this morning. Laura took Saxon to the doctor and she has an ear infection. We all decided around lunch that we would go ahead and head back to Birmingham. The weather is suppose to be bad in the morning and we sure don't want to be packing up during a thunderstorm.

We all headed back to the beach in an effort to give it one more shot. We about froze to death so called off the troups and headed back to Birmingham. The girls did have fun playing in the sand one last time.

Yucky Friday

We weren't able to get out today due to the chilly weather. Matt Holland was the only one that weathered the wind. So, we all just hung out as one big happy family until dinner.

We ended up going back to the Louisana Lagniappe for dinner. Since last night was a disaster with LeLe, we left at 4:30. She was an angel throughout dinner. While walking around on the pier, we ran across an 18 year old golden retriever. Matt and I now have hope that Sadie and Boomer will live to be 18!

Saxon seems to be getting sicker. Laura is going to take her to the doctor in the morning. Matt, Matt and I stayed up way to late playing Gin Rummy. I cannot believe that I actually beat Matt Skinner at something! Okay, so we played 3 times but still...I won once!

All of the pictures are on Laura's camera...so, I hope to add some soon!

Thursday Thrills

On Thursday, the boys headed out with all of our stuff. Luckily, they brought down some beach chairs for us. Saxon and LeLe enjoyed climbing in and out of the beach chairs. Matt and Matt had a great time trying to fly the kite. Laura and I got a kick out of watching them. Let's just say, it takes two Matts to fly a kite!

LeLe had the best time today playing in the water. She would run up to the waters edge and then take off back running so that it wouldn't get her wet. The water was really cold!

Saxon and Anne Reaves enjoyed playing with their new castle materials. I ended up going up early for the day (since I didn't put on sunscreen the day before, I am fried). As you can see from the picture, I had to wear a sweatshirt to cover my arms and back. I am finally getting some smocking done since I am a hermit crab.

We ended up going to a restaurant at the Wharf for dinner. I believe that the name of the place was Shuckems. After dinner, we headed to build-a-bear to let the girls get a new stuffed animal.

Wacky Wednesday

Laura and I headed back to the beach this morning. LeLe had a fantastic time playing in the sand. I wasn't able to stay out long because I didn't do a good job yesterday putting sunscreen on my back!

Laura and I also headed back to Target where we got tons of goodies for making sand castles along with a bunch of marked down Easter stuff. I got to give all of the girls a bath. Anne Reaves loved her hair style that I gave her while in the tub!

Tonight we went to the Wharf. We decided to eat Mexican...I know...Mexican at the beach. Let's just say, i wouldn't recommend beach mexican food.

The girls had a great time watching everyone in all of the stores. Believe it or not, Laura and I only left with a couple of packages. The boys got to the condo around 10:30. I believe that we were more excited to see them than they were to see us!

Sunny Tuesday

All us girls headed to Foley to continue our shopping extravaganza. After the sun decided to warm up the place, I headed down with Anne Reaves to build sand castles. She informed me that we weren't building sand castles, we were building a church with a bunch of houses beside it so that a lot of people could come. So, we built a church, kid music building, sunday school building and a whole lot of houses with shells as the road. We built so many houses that I forgot to put on sunscreen. About 2 hours later, we headed up to the condo for her to take a nap and let Laura come take her beach shift. While I was in the condo, the church was destroyed.

Anne Reaves and I also flew a kite. This is the first time that I have EVER flown a kite. I was very impressed with myself.

Saxon and LeLe had a great time playing in the sand with each other. I cannot believe how much LeLe wants to do EVERYTHING that Laura's girls are doing.

We met some of Laura's friends for dinner at the HangOut. I ended up locking my keys in the car. Oh me! Thank goodness for On Star! We had a great time hanging out with everyone.

Rainy Monday

Laura and I headed to Wal-mart in the rain to get some items that we needed for the week. I realized last night that I forgot to bring all of my thread for smocking so I am on a mission to find some more. Heaven forbid that I have to go a few days without sewing.

While we were at Wal-Mart, a friend of Laura's called and wanted the girls to go swimming in their indoor pool. So, I dropped Laura and her girls off so that they could swim. I headed to Summerdale to pick up some floss for smocking. I didn't realize that it was going to be such a drive to find some floss. Anyway, by the time that I got to Summerdale and back, it was time to pick up the girls.

Laura and company laid down to take a nap. Since LeLe got a cat nap in the car, she wasn't interested in taking a nap. So, she and I headed to the grocery store so that we wouldn't wake up the napping ladies.

For dinner, Laura and I headed to Chick-fil-a and then we went to the outlets to find some bargains!

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny came and visited LeLe. He brought her some Barney movies and a baby doll that goes in the bath tub. He also brought her the traditional Madame Alexander doll. She was in love with "Narney"! She even gave her movie a kiss when she pulled it out of the basket.
Matt, LeLe and I headed to the 9:30 service at Hunter Street. LeLe enjoyed seeing her friends at Sunday School. The church service was wonderful. After church, we headed home, changed clothes and then went to Aunt Lisa's house to enjoy an Easter lunch and an egg hunt. The food was delicious!

Laura and the girls loaded up into the car and we headed back to the house to finish loading all of the house. We then were off to the beach! It is going to be a very interesting trip with 2 women, a 3 year old, a two year old, and a one year old! Wish us luck! The Matts are coming down on Wednesday night but until then, it is all girls!

Easter Egg Hunt

Hollie and Alex invited LeLe to their church Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Despite the chilly weather, Matt, LeLe and I headed to Veteran's park.. We met Hollie and Alex there. LeLe had a wonderful time playing with Alex. We wish that the weather would have been a little warmer. She didn't push any kids down to get their eggs as I had feared. She did have a fantastic time finding the eggs. I guess our practice paid off! Thanks Hollie for including us!

Visit with the Easter Bunny...NOT!

LeLe and I drove down to Tuscaloosa to get a group picture with the Easter bunny. Well, that was the plan...until we got to the mall. Anne Reaves was so scared of the Easter Bunny that she couldn't even look at him. Saxon and LeLe were fine with him until we got about 5 feet away from them and they both lost it. I was going to be a mean mommy and make LeLe get her picture made anyway but since they were going to charge $30 for me to take my own picture...I passed.

Instead, we roamed around the mall in search for some bunny ears. Claires had these cute little bunny ears and we had to try them on. Laura found these huge glasses at Gymboree and the girls thought that they were cool as well.

Even though we didn't get any quality time with the Easter bunny, it was fun sharing the day with the Skinner family.

LeLe went to swimming lessons again and her hair dried by itself. Let's just say...she has some crazy hair! We also ended up with one of Anne Reaves' necklaces. LeLe loves showing it to everyone!

Happy Birthday Saxon!

Today, Saxon turned two! I cannot believe how much my little niece has grown. Here are a couple of shots with her favorite Aunt Katie!

After swimming lessons, LeLe found her basket with the Easter eggs in it. She decided to open each "agg" to see if any goldfish reappeared. Luckily, she found some that had been missed over the weekend.

More Cupcake Fun!

LeLe learned how to say "cupcake" and was very quick to point out that she wanted one this morning. I didn't let her eat one for breakfast but since she did so well at swimming lessons, we let her have another one this evening. We were prepared for the mess this time though! As you can see, she enjoyed the second cupcake as much as she did the first one.

Happy Birthday Matt and Jason

The Hollands and Allens came over on Sunday evening to celebrate Jason and Matt's birthday one more time. LeLe had a fantastic time playing with Jason and Sara Kate. She loved holding Baby Sam too. Actually, she liked pointing out all of his body parts and the fact that he was drinking a "botbot".

We had hidden Easter eggs (filled with Gold Fish and Yo-Go's). Each kid had a different strategy. Sara Kate quickly got the hunting part down carrying her basket. Jason laid his basket on the floor and would run grab several eggs and bring them back to his basket. LeLe decided to sit beside Jason's basket and open all of his eggs and steal the treats while he was hunting. All in all, the kids all received several eggs and goodies.

Once the egg hunt was over, we headed upstairs to eat batman cupcakes. LeLe thoroughly enjoyed her cupcake. She couldn't decide whether to pick it up or just plant her face into it. As you can tell, she chose the later.

Right before everyone left, LeLe held Baby Samuel. She loved holding the baby and again was pointing out his eyes!! Baby Samuel was so sweet and cuddly. I forget how it is to have such a little angel around.
