Happy new year!!!

The trotters came over to watch the Tide roll over Michigan State.

My plan this year is to try to post a picture daily even if I don't write about our plans.

I know at least my one church buddy will be looking (hi Jeanne)!!

LeLe wanted to go out to eat to celebrate her 8th birthday.  We went to la fiesta and then met friends at roller motion for some roller skating.  They stayed and played until we couldn't play Anymore

Puppies!!

Kids started back to school today and when they got home they were exhausted.   I took Sadie to the vet and will be taking her back in the morning.  Pray for the old gal.
Can you tell these babies are spoiled??

A day in the life of Katie - jan 6th

Matt took Sadie to the vet because we didn't really like what the one said yesterday.  I took LeLe to school and then Gibson and I headed to children's to  his Gastro appointment.  We got there a few minutes early but they were running a little behind.  It was worth the wait bc I love Dr. Mestre!  He recommended that we do a endoscopy in February.

While I was waiting on the nurse to schedule it, I got a call from the school.  I ignored it because I assumed it was the call saying Gibson was absent.  Then it rang again.  This time I answered.  It was the nurse from the school asking where I was...of course, I said children's with Gibson...her response, there already?

Not a good sign.  LeLe had fallen and nurse thinks her arm is broken.  I rushed out of the dr office without an appointment to go get LeLe.  Once I got to the school, the power went out.  They were all holding flashlights in LeLe while sweet Mrs Barnes held her.  She was as white as a ghost.  Mrs Barnes loaded her in the car while I talked to Shannon.  She came to get Gibson and I flew to the pediatrician.  Matt and I couldn't decide whether to go to the ER or to Mayfair.  Mayfair said to come straight there so we did.  Dr. McCain recommended that we go to downtown children's in case surgery was needed.  They ended up cutting off LeLes sleeve.  We then headed back to children's to learn that her arm is broken above her elbow.  90% of these cases require surgery but since it was still connected they recommended casting it for 3 weeks.  At first he said not waterproof but I'm pretty sure after seeing the look in my face he reconsidered.  We ended up with a watertight cast de the next 3 weeks.  LeLe was in significant pain and wouldn't talk to anyone.
