One Happy Little Fella

Gibson tried out his exersaucer again today. I had placed him in it about a week ago but unfortunately, his little back muscles weren't strong enough to support his body and he head butted the side of the saucer.

Today, was a different story. He loved it! As you can see, he loves his Bobo too and is one happy camper!

Bumbo Expert

Gibson has mastered sitting in the Bumbo seat. We put him on the table every night so that we can eat dinner as a family. He likes getting the attention too!

Falling Asleep

Gibson fell asleep tonight by himself. He was suppose to be trying to learn to roll over. Instead, he decided to take a nap.

Fun times

Gibson got his bath this morning and I had to get some shots of him talking in his bed. Anne Reaves and Saxon had spent the night with Bobo and Pappy. We invited them all over to play for a while. The girls had a fantastic time bouncing in the bounce house and holding baby "broter". As you can see, Saxon is very proud of her new cousin.

Pool Party!

LeLe is such a hoot. Today, we were in the car and Gibson (aka "Broter") was crying. I was trying to ignore him and then LeLe goes..."No broter, it's my turn" and then started crying herself. I think that there may be a little jealousy going on.

Matt has been out of town since Thursday and I am very thankful that he will be back this afternoon.

We went to BoBo/Pappy's house for lunch and LeLe had a wonderful time playing with Saxon and Anne Reaves. I had taken her bubble machine over there and Saxon and LeLe played in it for about 30 minute....which is a long time for 2 two year olds. LeLe is definitely the leader of the pack as she was bossing everyone around...including sweet little Anne Reaves. LeLe wanted to play "ring around the rosie." The next thing we know, she had convinced Anne Reaves to swing her around until she fell. Both of them laughing though. Little Saxon then wanted to do it but wasn't interested in falling down. So, she would run real fast and then go squat on the side. It was too cute!

Gibson is such a little talker these days. He makes this cute little noise after thinking real hard about what he is going to say. He loves to squeal and also loves going to Target where he thinks everything is so funny!! His hair is really fallen out and now he is left with a little rat tail. His head still has some cradle cap on it but it is much better than it used to be. I have finally given up trying to treat it and I am now just letting it run its course.

When Matt got home from Point Clear, LeLe was so excited to see him. The weather was very hot! So, Matt decided to pull out LeLe's pool and let her swim in it. She had a fantastic time in the pool but didn't care for the dolphin squirting water at her. She kept saying..."it scare me".

Dinner with the Welborns

We woke up around 10:00 and decided that we would go to the zoo. I didn't realize that it was a sauna out there though! I picked up BoBo around 11 and we headed to chikfila on 280. We ran into our neighbor, Mark Meadows, there! After filling up on chicken, we headed to the zoo. LeLe had a fantastic time seeing all of the animals and did a great job staying in the stroller with "broter".

Bobo went into the bird exhibit with LeLe. I have decided that I don't particularly care for birds flying and pooping overhead. So, Bobo gratiously volunteered. As you can tell from the pictures, they had a great time. LeLe was talking to the birds and the birds loved BoBo. So much so, that they still sat on her shoulder even without food.

After feeding the birds, petting all of the animals and riding the carousel, we let her play in the water. She didn't know about the shooting water which she loved last year. This year, she was playing dodge with the water. As you can tell in one of the pictures, she had a fantastic time. Gibson...not so much. He was burning up. So, we decided to call it a day after a couple of hours.

We all went home, took a long...3 hour nap and woke up at 6:30!! The Welborn family had invited us to dinner so we went over there and played. LeLe was IN LOVE with Hall. She wanted him to do everything for her and she wanted to do everything that he did. Gibson loved Adison and even fell asleep while she was holding her. We had an incredible time playing with them and hope the we can do something again with them soon.

Friday Funny

So, this morning we were getting ready to take Sadie (the dog) to get shaved down. We also had plans to meet a friend for lunch but due to the weather, we cancelled. Anyway, I had gotten out of the shower and LeLe was playing with a little jingle bell that she had found somewhere in the house. She was throwing it up and catching it singing "Jingle Bells" when all of the sudden, it went flying into my closet. Let's just say, you cannot see the floor in my closet. She then comes out of the closet with a worried look on her face. The conversation went something like this...

LeLe - "Mommy, my jingle bell..."
Me - "what about it?"
LeLe - "My jingle bell hide and seekin"
Me - "Do what?"
LeLe - "My jingle bell hide and seekin".

In other words, she couldn't find it. I just thought it was too funny!

We also caught LeLe drinking out of the dog bowl again outside. When asked what she was doing..."I am thirsty." YUCK!!

Moon = Brokey

I had purchased LeLe a bubble machine at Costco. We were outside playing with the bubble machine when all of the sudden, she looks up and yells..."the moon...the moon is brokey! Where's daddy?" She then proceeds down the driveway to her daddy asking..."daddy...the moon brokey, can you fix it?". She thinks that daddy can fix anything.

In the meantime, we prayed tonight that Jesus would fix the moon. I sure hope he comes through over the next few weeks.

Tonight marks Matt and my 7th wedding anniversary. Happy Anniversary Matt, I love you! Thank you for being such a wonderful husband and daddy.

Anne Reaves Dance Recital

We went to Tuscaloosa today to watch Anne Reaves in her second dance recital. She was absolutely precious and did a wonderful job dancing. We got some good laughs at all of the little girls dancing...and some of them standing on stage waving.

Anne Reaves - you are a beautiful ballerina and Aunt Katie is so proud of you!!

Jeep Ride!

Matt took LeLe in a ride in his jeep. She absolutely thinks that it is the coolest thing. They didn't leave the subdivision...considering that she isn't in a carseat. Regardless, she thought it was awesome! Can you tell she loves her daddy? Notice she still has on her pajamas....we won't talk about her leaving them on all day.

Visit from the Skinners

Laura came up with the girls today. We had a fantastic time playing with them. Afterwards, we went over to my Aunt Lisa's house to celebrate Emily's graduation from nursing school. When we got home, Gibson was zonked! Anne Reaves is a wonderful babysitter and Gibson loves her.

I Do!

So, every night, we usually let LeLe watch a little television before going to sleep. Tonight, we were eating dinner at the table and the discussion centered around which movie LeLe wanted to watch. Luckily, we have progressed from Barney...so the conversation goes something like this...

Matt - "LeLe, which movie do you want to watch? Lion King?"
LeLe - "no"
Matt - "How about? Madagascar?"
LeLe - "no"
Matt - "Lady and the Tramp?"
LeLe - "no"
Matt - "101 Dalmations?"
LeLe - "no"
Matt - "the Balloon movie (Up)?"
LeLe - "no"
Matt - "Jungle Book?"
LeLe - "no"
Matt - "Barney?"
LeLe - "no"
Matt - "the Wiggles?"
LeLe - "no"
Matt - "Okay LeLe, if you don't pick a movie, you are going to have to go to bed."
Me - "Matt, she doesn't understand what you are saying."
LeLe - "I do!"

So, as you can see, we have a little mess on our hands.
This morning, Gibson was so glad to see Bobo. Look at him!

Puppy love...

Bobo got to the house early today and let me finish getting ready. Well, start getting ready. Gibson is still waking up around 4:00 and then again around 7:00. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten down my schedule yet so this morning when Bobo got here, I was still in my pajamas.

While I got in the shower, she dressed Gibson in all of his puppy stuff. It was rather hilarious...she had his puppy bib, puppy hat, puppy onesie...and the puppy handcovers on his feet!! Oh me!! We got a huge kick out of it though. He didn't know what to think...bless his heart!

I did it!

LeLe put her glasses on all by herself....can you tell? She has her favorite things...her glasses, her baby...and her baby's blanket.

I start back work tomorrow...not excited about it at all. How could you not want to stay all day with this?

Gibson's Baby Dedication

Today was Mother's Day. But, forget about that....what a better Mother's Day present than to have your baby dedicated to our Heavenly Father. Gibson was dedicated at the 9:30 service at Hunter Street. They had a little mixup and dedicated LeLe but I set them straight while on stage and before we left, Gibson was dedicated. Who knows...as crazy as LeLe is...it won't hurt for her to be dedicated twice.

We had several family members at the service: Skinner Family, Bobo, Pappy, Buddy, Pops, PawPaw, Aunt Lisa, Cousin Emily, Lauren, Joel, Aunt Tammie, Uncle Allen, Nana, Papa and several other friends. After the service, the Skinner Family, Grandparents, Lisa and Emily joined in the celebration at our house. We all gobbled up some Costa's lasagna and some Edgar's cake.

Around 12:00, the Allen family showed up and we got to meet Baby Harrison. It is amazing how small he looks compared to Gibson especially since they are only 2 months and 10 days apart. Harrison was the same size as Gibson at birth so it really shows how much Gibson has grown.

We had a wonderful and special time with all of our family and enjoyed a fantastic Mother's Day.
