These boots are made for walking....

LeLe and I headed to Tuscaloosa to take care of some shopping. While we were there, Laura helped me pick out some UGG boots for LeLe. She loved trying them on!! When we got home, we had to put them on for daddy...and well, they wouldn't come off without a fit. So, she wore them to meet the Welborns for dinner and then to Wal-mart. Let's just say, we got a lot of looks but she never missed a step! As you can probably tell from her face, she LOVES them! Actually, in the picture, I think that she is saying "My mommy is #1!".

LeLe loves spending time with Hall and Adison during dinner. I don't think that the child ever quit eating or looking at Hall or Adison.

19 Months Old!

I cannot believe that we are here again. 19 months!!

For my scrapbooking...19 things about Laura Elizabeth Holland:

1. LeLe can now repeat anything that you say...whether you want her to or not
2. She loves the outdoors...and cries when it is time to come in. She loves playing in the sprinklers, water hose and on her swing set.
3. She loves lollipops, blue berries, popcicles, grapes, "chichen", french fries, tea, gatorade, "chocate" milk, Lucky Charms (only the marshmellows), "toke" and cake. Great healthy diet huh!
4. She adores Barney and asks for him morning through night. We have her using the "head phones" in the car as she will listen to Barney 24-7!
5. She continues to sleep about 14-15 hours at night and takes a couple of hour nap in the early afternoon.
6. She loves dogs...and loves naming all of the dogs that she knows including: Hossy, "Bay-E", Sadie, "Boomber", Madden, Georgie, Joey, Brodie, "Fiver" for Skyler.
7. She loves climbing on the bed and then moving the other side to climb right back off.
8. She loves bubbles (she will point them out anywhere..in drinks, in the bathtub, in the swimming pool, in the car wash) and likes taking a shower.
9. She no longer eats in a high chair she stands in the chair instead. When she decides to sit down in the chair, she announces that she is a "big gurl".
10. She can almost count to 10 but you have to say 1 and she will say 2, etc.
11. She loves the "Boom Boom Pow" song.
12. She will blow kisses to anyone and loves asking everyone "whatcha doing"?
13. She still loves her baby dolls and has a name for almost all of her stuffed animals (thanks to BoBo). She has to sleep with almost all of them too!
14. Her hair is almost long enough to cut but is too thin to keep a bow in without it coming loose. She has switched to kid shampoo and toothpaste.
15. She has used the potty....twice.
16. She knows all of the princesses....by name.
17. She likes throwing, catching and kicking a ball.
18. She LOVES her Daddy, Bobo and Pappy. She is also in love with her cousins and asks for them daily.
19. SHE IS MORE THAN WE EVER DREAMED OF and we love her more than she will ever know!!

Dinner with Preston

A LONG LONG TIME AGO...before we had LeLe....

Matt and I would head to our friend Preston's house to stay a weekend at Panama City. Preston was Matt's single friend who always loved Matt to come down to the beach. He was so sweet and would never charge us for a single thing but we would often clean his place in "payment" of us staying.

Well, Preston has since moved on and now as a wonderful girlfriend who now keeps his place spotless for him. Nicole and Preston both drove over from Panama City to have dinner with us at a cool mexican restaurant, Catina Laredo. This place was too cool. They made the guacamole at our table. I am not a normal fan of the green stuff but this was good!! Thanks to a note on facebook, we knew to take LeLe's bathingsuit as there were MORE fountains to play in! Good thing cause she needed a shower after eating all of that chocolate cake!

Daddy's Watching You

On Friday, Matt went fishing all day. Since I was in charge, LeLe and I went shopping and then headed to the pool in the afternoon. Since, it was just me, I don't have any real good pictures to share...okay, any pictures to share. LeLe had a fantastic time in the pool. Later in the afternoon, Matt came down and joined in on the festivities. We met a couple that lived in Ross Bridge so that was neat!

On Friday night, we ate at a wonderful restaurant called Grafittis. It had FANTASTIC food. Matt had lobster stuffed ravioli and I had shrimp and grits. LeLe had alfredo. It was a fantastic meal. Afterwards, we played on the Baytowne Wharf's swing set.

On Saturday, we sat by the pool again. We went up for an afternoon nap to be awakened by fire alarm. Since LeLe was asleep, I found it best to just wait it out...okay, until the fireman came knocking on the door asking us to leave. So, no pictures again from the pool side. I did run back up and get my keys (as if my car wouldn't have burned up since it was under the building). Come to find out, the fire was close to us but we didn't have any major problems.

On Saturday afternoon, back to work for Matt. LeLe and I took a shower and then met Matt and his buddy Rick for dinner. We ended up eating at a creole place that was also in Baytowne Wharf. It was okay but nothing to write home about. Afterwards, I ran to the bathroom while Daddy was watching LeLe. As you can tell, they found a cool water fountain outside and since daddy is daddy...in goes LeLe!! I must say...she had a fantastic time playing in the fountain. After getting soaked, we headed to the ice cream parlor and then back home.

San Destin

Matt had to go to Sandestin Beach Resort for a conference. So, LeLe and I tagged along. We left after lunch on Wednesday and headed down to the beach. We decided to follow the navigation in the Buick instead of going off some friends advice....so 5.5 hours later, we landed at the Grand. Since it was now 8:30, we headed to the Baytowne Wharf in search of some dinner. We ended up eating at a place (I think called Crabby's) which matched our attitude. The food turned out great. We both ate some shrimp sandwiches, fried cheese, and called it a night.

On Thursday, Matt and I headed out to the beach on the resort. Let's just say that they should NOT promote the beach. We had to drive from the bay side to the beach side...which wouldn't be a problem normally, except for the fact that LeLe is spoiled and thinks that the beach is just right down the elevator. Once we got to the beach (around 10:00), we weren't impressed. There was about a 200 foot area that they had blocked off. Did I mention that there were 6 rows of chairs back to back for rent? Matt and I chose not to take our chairs down which probably was a good thing considering we stayed about 30 minutes...long enough for LeLe to play a little in the sand and have some folks light up some cigs around us.

Once we left the beach, we decided to head back to the room, apply some more sunscreen, and then head down to the Grand's pool. The pool was great! It was a zero entry pool which was great for a toddler. Matt decided to fill up a cooler while I let LeLe play in the water. As soon as he got down from loading the cooler, LeLe decided to use the bathroom in her pants. Since, we had already put our beach bag up and had no diapers, back up we headed.... Did I mention, we only had 1 beach towel AND there was crap running down LeLe's leg?

So, once we got to the room, we decided that we could go grab some lunch and then Matt could head to Panama City to meet his friend. But, we didn't know any good places to eat....so, off LeLe and I went to eat in Panama City. When we got back, LeLe took a nap and then for dinner, we headed to a cool place (I don't know the name of it) but we were able to see a military air show as we looked around in different shops.

Visit to the Zoo

Matt had to work all day Saturday so when we woke up on Sunday, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and head to the zoo. The weather was fantastic and LeLe had a great time looking at the animals. We didn't end up playing in the water due to the number of "big" kids that were playing in the fountains.

I would have some pictures but I have hidden the camera card from myself. So, once it is found, I will post some pictures of our wonderful zoo trip.

Oh! We helped host a baby shower on Saturday night for our friend, Lisa Carboni. Matt and I had a wonderful time and met a ton of new friends.

Happy Birthday Alex!!

Matt,LeLe and I had a VERY eventful morning....

LeLe woke up early (around 9:30). In an effort to let daddy get a few more Z's we decided to go play in the basement. LeLe loves playing downstairs with the tent and the 100s of baby dolls but this morning, she was more worried about her daddy waking up. So, around 9:50 we headed upstairs to wake up Daddy. She walks in the room screaming to the top of her lungs, "Daddy, Boober, Sadie et's play). The dogs, of course, greeting with a wagging tail. Daddy, however, with a hand that goes to the side of the bed and is quickly grabbed by a 18 month old admirer. So, we are up folks....up for the day.

Around 10ish, I got in the shower. LeLe has taken a few baths in our big tub in our bathroom but this morning was VERY interested in getting into the empty tub. So, of course, sweet daddy puts her in there fully clothed. The next thing we know, she turns on the water full force....so, off with the clothes, the diaper, and onto a happy 18 month old who is yelling with her outside voice.."AWESOME!". I finished my shower and then got her out of the tub. When we passed the kitchen, she starts asking for raisins. So, we swing by the kitchen and grab raisins. I am still not dressed at this point....and we quickly head to her room to put on a diaper. In the sweep of getting her onto the changing table, she spills a couple of raisins. So, I put her on the ground, walked into the closet and quickly ask her to pick up her raisins. While in the closet, I notice that she has something hanging out of her mouth.....and it had LEGS MOVING!! So, I yell "SPIT THAT OUT". Little did I know that it is a SCORPION!! I yell...I mean yell, for Matt to come quick...by this point, LeLe is crying...I am still searching for my clothes and freaking out about the fact that I just pulled a LIVE scorpion out of my daughters mouth. Luckily, by this point, the scorpion has died....now, whether or not LeLe bit into him or not...we will never know. Luckily, I don't think that he stung her. I did go ahead and give her some zyrtec. Okay, just to make me feel better.

After all of the entertainment, we headed to Alex's birthday party around 11. We stopped and ate lunch at J. Alexander's. I had a prime rib sandwich...why am I telling you this?? Because it was FANTASTIC!! Anyway, we had to tote Barney into the restaurant. I am now stooping to new levels. Regardless, Barney and LeLe ate well and we were off to the McWane center. We got to the McWane center fairly early and got to tour the facility. MAN!! I am impressed that they have a place like this in Alabama. I had no idea! LeLe had a great time looking at the fish and was very excited to see Alex. Alex had a wonderful turn out for his birthday. Happy 7th Birthday Alex!!

18 Month Checkup

LeLe had her 18 month check up today with Dr. Richard Huie. As soon as Dr. Huie walked into the room, she said "Hey Dr.". She weighed 24.5 pounds and was 32 3/4 inches tall. She has grown 2 inches in 3 months and gained 3 pounds. She is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height.

Dr. Huie explained to her that something in the room was "dirty" and she quickly told him to "wash it". He also asked her several questions in which she responded appropriately. He thinks that she will do fine in the 2 year old class when she starts next month at Bright Horizons.

As you can see from the pictures, it wasn't the best photo session at the doctor. I should have taken the pictures before her 3 shots instead of waiting until the last minute.
