I decided last night that for my birthday, I wanted Mother, Dad, Laura Elizabeth, Matt and me to all go to the pumpkin patch. I had never been to a "real" pumpkin patch before (assuming that the one at the church isn't really real). Anyway, so, we loaded up into the Tahoe (good thing I have an environment killer) and headed to Harpersville. We were going to stop and eat on our way but instead decided to go straight there. It was a good thing that we did!! They were having a cotton picking festival today so there were a TON of folks..and vendors with homemade goods too!
Laura Elizabeth wasn't too sure about everything but really enjoyed watching some of the animals. Dad wasn't able to join us on the hayride to the pumpkin patch so he stayed behind and "people watched".
We all got our pumpkins and then decided to just have a picnic. We got some corn dogs, hot dogs, boiled peanuts, caramel apples, pork rinds, pickles...and I believe that is it!! We were laughing because all of the homemade stuff just made us hungry!
We then drove back home...with full bellies. Laura Elizabeth didn't take a nap all morning so she ended up sleeping almost 4 hours this afternoon. Also, in one of the pictures you will see her new trick! She can stand unassisted! Well, that is when it is convenient for her!
Oh! Laura Elizabeth FINALLY has enough hair to put in a bow! While it isn't exactly in the right place, it does make people not say..."he's so cute!"
I just want to say, how fortunate Matt and I are to have such a precious little angel. I pray for all of the friends and loved ones who aren't as fortunate as us that one day...by some means...you will feel the love and joy that we feel with our baby girl. God has been so good to us and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Thank you Lord for everything!
Happy Fall Everyone!

How fun! It seems like you had a perfect day and Happy Birthday, too! I think we will follow your lead next year and find a "real" pumpkin patch. We did the church one and no... it didn't feel real, but Allie had fun and it counts as a real one for this year. Congratulations to LeLe on standing! She holds her bottle like such a big girl, too!
Happy fall to you, too!
Yeah for the Pumpkin Patch! My nephew Will loved it. 'Grandma' has now bought him a pedal tractor for his birthday because he liked the ones at the Old Baker Farm. Now that you mention it, I think that was the first Pumpkin Patch I've been to as well! I guess it was about time for us to go...
