Today, G woke up with another fever. I decided to keep him out of school and let him visit the doctor again... I went ahead and took LeLe to school (only half of her class was in attendance due to sickness). I then ran into a few stores in Homewood before seeing Dr. McCain at Mayfair. I have to say...this was the longest doctors appointment that we have had in the past 3 years. Luckily, I only had G. It took us an hour and a half to be seen and then they ended up calling us to tell us that he has STREP! I am glad that I went ahead and took him considering his birthday party is on Sunday!
We came home and G took a nap. LeLe played outside in the beautiful weather. Around 6:15, we loaded up and went to see Madagascar Live at the BJCC. While it wasn't what I expected, it was a great show. We got home around 10:00 and everyone crashed!

Visit with an Old Friend & Happy Birthday MOM
I met my friend Leah for lunch today at Chuys. Leah and I have been good friends since college. While I don't get to see her much, it always seems that we catch right back up to the last time that we talked. Leah is one of those friends that I may not talk to much but I know that if I ever was in a bind, that I could call her. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her.
While I was out on 280, I went ahead and picked up Gibson's pictures from Barbara Harbin. They are absolutely beautiful. Even she commented on how good all of them were. i am so thankful to have such healthy and beautiful babies (I am not prejudice at all. :). After picking up the pictures, I ran to Hunter Street to pick up the kids. Unfortunately, there wasn't a good attendance today. Evidently, everyone is sick with some kind of flu like bug....or the flu itself.
When we got home, G was really whiny. When he woke up, he had 102.7 fever....not good. Matt had to work until 10:00 and LeLe convinced me to let her stay up until he got home. She is such a little Daddy's girl.
Just an update on Gibson's accomplishments this week. He now can say "This" and "DaDa" and point to the light on command. I also think that he can say some form of Sissy but I am not exactly sure that it sounds completely right. He loves playing with balls, dogs and his sister. He is a cuddly little fella.
Today was my mother's 60th birthday. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful supportive, loving mother. Thank you mom for ALL that you do for me and I hope you have a FANTASTIC birthday!

Lunch with Kim
The kids and I set out to get out of the house. Before we left, I tried to snap a few more pictures in an effort to get enough to finish our Valentine's cards. However, I didn't get much cooperation. LeLe's fever finally broke early this morning and I HAD to get out of the house! I convinced my sweet neighbor Kim to go with me to pick up Gibson's birthday invitations and then us grab some lunch at Chuys at the Summit. Chuy's is my new favorite restaurant. When we got there, I ran in to get the printed invitations and realized that I had left my wallet at home. Luckily, Kim let me borrow some money, bought our lunch and then let me borrow some more money when I ran into the fabric store. It is wonderful having such a great neighbor.
When we got home, I put the kids down for a nap and took one myself.
Valentines Party and SNOW!!
We woke up this morning and we were greeted by SNOW! Regretfully, my camera battery was dead first thing this morning so it had to charge while LeLe played in the snow. While she played, Gibson slept and I made Valentines Rice Krispies, addressed class Valentines and made Gibson lunch. I was also put in charge of the party favors so of course, I had to get them all ready too! Luckily, my wonderful neighbor had a stapler...for some reason, I couldn't find ours. I am sure it is because this house is such in wonderful order now that I stay at home all of the time.
LeLe came in screaming asking for a bandaid for her fingers as they were hurting. I explained that they were just cold and that she needed to stay inside to warm them. She didn't understand.
When Gibson awoke, we all hurried into the shower (where G screamed the whole time). I rushed and got them all ready for school. It was delayed this morning until 10:30 and we STILL didn't make it on time! I rushed in with all of the teacher gifts, backpacks, lunches, goodies, and kids. I had 45 minutes to spare before I headed back to the Valentine's party. (I missed the Christmas one because I had no clue that I was suppose to go...I am just now getting knowledgeable on this stuff thanks to LeLe's wonderful teacher). I quickly ran into Walgreens to pick up our Valentine's cards, then to JoAnns and then to Hancock (all in 45 minutes) then to the party.
LeLe was very surprised to see me. I love that kid! She was so happy! She ran into the room and quickly sat down just like the teacher asked. They said their blessing and then all dug into their Chikfila.
We swapped Valentines and I picked up Gibson. LeLe went to gymnastics. G and I left there, we ran to a friend's house to help her get her monogramming machine up and running. We then rushed back to pick up LeLe. We then went to Publix to pick up a new sippy cup (recommended by G's teacher) since he is suppose to officially be off the bottle and well, he doesn't like that idea one bit!! While we were there, LeLe asked everyone we passed if they liked her Valentines dress. She is such a hoot. Gibson didn't make a sounds and downed 2 sprinkle cookies. We did order some cupcakes for his birthday tomorrow.
When we got home, G crashed and LeLe went outside to play in the melted snow. Lauren and Matt came home, we went to eat dinner, and now...everyone is asleep...but me.
OH! I started new medicine today and I think I like it! We will see how it goes. I have to go back to the doctor next week!

Happy February!
This morning before school, I attempted to get some more pictures of the kids. It is always a battle to try to get them both to smile. Since the fell asleep yesterday at 4:00 and didn't wake up until 9:00 this morning, I thought that it maybe a good time to catch them in a good mood. Yes, folks, they slept over 17 hours! What does that mean for me.....no sleep!
I stayed up all night (okay until 2:30) working on different things. I did get the teachers Valentine's aprons monogrammed, wrapped all of them, worked on some taxes, watched the snow, folded clothes, washed clothes, unloaded the dishwasher, and I am not sure what else...but, I didn't get it all done and crashed around 2:30.
I went to the doctor today and got some medicine. I hope that it will help me start feeling better! I dropped the kids off late to school so that I wouldn't have to kill time before my appointment at 10:30. Unfortunately, I didn't get out of there until 12:15, so I ran through Taco Casa, dropped some items off at a friend's house and then picked up my little munchkins.
We got a visit from my sweet cousin Lauren. We then went to visit my sweet neighbor Kim and Matt finally got home around 7:00. My sweet neighbor fed us dinner. I put the kids to bed and started my work. :)
Sometimes being OCD is good...sometimes...not so much!

Give me 3 steps...
Gibson is very close to walking. I cannot believe that my little man is growing up so fast! I refuse to believe that he is about to turn ONE!! The past few days he has been becoming more confident in walking. Today, he stood up from the floor and took about 3 steps before getting scared. He is so proud of himself!!

Surprise Visit from Bobo
Bobo dropped by today after doing some shopping. LeLe and Gibson were SO very happy to see her. This morning was a great morning as you can probably tell by the pictures. The kids are out of school but we managed to get some fun in anyway. I have yet to finish my Christmas shopping but at this point, it may just not get done. (yeah right). Still need to get a few things for little Gibson but overall, most of it is done.
We are planning having Christmas Eve dinner at my house so we have started buying stuff for that. The plan as of now is to go to the Hollands on Christmas day.
Dad isn't feeling very well so I sure hope that this doesn't turn out like last year when he spent Christmas night in the hospital.
Please continue to pray for us.
I am continuing to try to find stuff for LeLe's Cinderella birthday party. I hope that people come considering it is the first real day after recovery from Christmas.

Freezing at the Zoo!
With our family loving the outdoors, all of this cold weather has really downed our spirits. So, today, we decided to bundle up and head to the zoo. We were hopeful to find the new elephant but instead were greeted by the tiger. As many times as we have been to the zoo, I have to say, this is the first time that I have ever seen the tiger this active. It was really cool!!
Gibson loved watching the monkeys...and would scream at them. Overall, we had a fantastic time.

More Bath Fun!
One of our favorite times of the night is when we get the children into the bath tub. LeLe loves showing us how she can go under water (if only for a second) and Gibson loves splashing....okay, well they both LOVE splashing. We hope that Santa brings us some more bath toys so that the children will have a few more activities other than just splashing!!
Gibson can definitely stand up well these days. He also is a cruiser.

Pajama Day and Baking Cookies!
Today was Pajama day at LeLe's school. She was SO excited to wear her pajamas and was thrilled even more to wear her princess slippers. Gibson was just happy to be able to go to school. :)
He absolutely loves playing with balloons.
Tonight, LeLe and I made the famous Santa cookies for all of her friends at school. Our sweet neighbor, Kim Meadows, also stopped by to help in the festivities. After we made cookies, I stayed up all night sewing presents for her teachers and wrapping Zhu ZHu pets for her friends.

With every Santa pic...comes a story
Today, I decided would be a good day for us to travel to Brookwood Mall and see Santa. I had previously ironed the kids clothes and had called mother to see if she wanted to join in on the fun.
I went to pick mother up around 10:30. Since we weren't planning on doing anything but Santa pics, I didn't even bother packing extra outfits. As soon as we started to pull into the driveway, I hear LeLe say..."mommy, do I have on panties". Which...means...I just used the bathroom in my pants. My response, "yes, you have on panties". LeLe goes "mommy, I just t-ted in my pants". Me..."that's okay LeLe, we will be at BoBos in a minute".
Fortunately, when we got to moms it wasn't as bad as predicted. She just needed to change her panties and let her dress "air" out. Mom didn't have a spare set of panties so we put a pull up on LeLe and we were off to the mall.
When we got to Brookwood, I finally found a parking space inside the parking deck. It was FREEZING cold outside. When I went to pick up Gibson, I knew that he too had left me a present. I immediately threw him in the stroller and we headed inside (remember it is FREEZING). Unfortunately, there isn't an elevator at the entrance that we picked so mom and I figured out a way to pick up the double stroller and carry it up the escalator. Once we FINALLY got inside, I remembered that Motherhood Maternity has a bathroom (from my pregnancy days). Mother took LeLe into the book store while I ran inside Motherhood and asked the clerk if I could change Gibson's diaper. She volunteered that I do it in the room since there was a bench. As soon as I got him out of the stroller, I realized that he had a little bit of poop on his pants...no problem yet right....well, I quickly go to take off his diaper when I realize...NO WIPES...that is right folks...no wipes. I yell for the lady to help me since clearly I need help..I mean after all, who has a 10 month old in a changing room without wipes and poop dripping off of his leg?? Luckily, the lady volunteered to bring me some paper towels. So, she brought me 1...and then I kind of quickly ask...can you bring me several?? As soon as I got the diaper off, I had to figure out what to do with his outfit (remember, no spare outfit). So, I hold him way out away from me and run him to the bathroom while asking the lady to watch my purse. I hold the poor little guy over the sink and begin to wash his pants while they are still on him. Luckily, the majority came off. I then put him back in the stoller, collect all of my things (including the poop diaper), and head to find mom.
When I round the corner to the book store, LeLe comes running out saying that she needs to go potty. I quickly give mother the stroller and then grab her and head back to Motherhood. I am SURE by now that the lady is regretting saying that I could EVER come in there. LeLe pitches a little fit and says that she can potty by herself. So, I let her go into the bathroom by herself. When she doesn't come quickly out, I realize something has gone wrong. I open the door and see her with her pull ups half way down her legs and her trying to aim it while using the bathroom. She is standing in a HUGE puddle of pee and says..."Mommy, I didn't pee in my pull up.". I then throw her on the potty, use the other half of the roll of paper towels to clean up the mess. Take off her shoes, wash them off, and then quickly escaped Motherhood.
Mom at this point is about to have a nervous breakdown and suggests that we just go home (considering G is soaked, LeLe has soaked shoes and knee socks). I say...nope, we are getting a pic...not going to do this again!! We decided to then grab some lunch at Chikfil while the clothes dry out and then get these beautiful pictures with Santa.....
Santa...well, he never had a clue. :)
