Columbus Day...mcwane

The kids were out of school today for Columbus Day.  Unfortunately, the sunshine was also on vacation.  We decided to go to the mcwane center with the Bennett's to help move the day along.  The kids had a blast.  There were a little too many folks there for me.

Spend the night parties!

Gibson spent the night with Lauren last night and LeLe spent the night with katelyn Bennett.  Matt and I ran out to dinner and then caught up on some tv shows.  I was bummed about Alabama losing so watching other teams win wasn't an option.  I am not good at losing.  

LeLe played a soccer game at 8:30.  Gibson and Matt slept in.  

Marvel at the BJCC

Watch out folks...there are some new super Heros in town!  Mr. Mark gave us tickets to the the marvel super hero show.  The kids loved it but kept asking if it was real.  LeLe also asked if they had shin guards on their backs since they kept getting hit.  The show was fun but since I don't know super Heros it was a little hard to follow.  

LeLe was on protest this morning saying that no one commented on her cute clothes so she wanted to wear something different...here we go! 

Johnny Appleseed day! September 30tg

Lele was so excited for Johnny Appleseed day!  He tested different kinds of apples and even had apple pie! 

First day of school!! First grade

Little LeLe is growing up!  After spending yesterday at the doctor for swimmers ear, today was so exciting!  She woke up at 6:40 and jumped in the shower.  Crammed in a sausage biscuit, threw on a nursery rhyme shirt that we made and out on the porch for pics!  He sweet neighbor Molly came over to get her pic made too!  

LeLe ran into the school and was super excited!  She ran out is the school just as happy!  I sent the teacher a key chain with a cute little "key to our success" note.  She is in love!!

After school we ran to yogurt mountain and then to dinner with the neighbors.  She got in bed at 8:00 and is excited to go again tomorrow!

Another day...another lost tooth! 8/25

Lele lost her right front tooth tonight!  She pulled it herself.

Our puppy Charlie loves to sleep on my pillow!  No wonder my hair looks so great when I wake up! 

Gibson - put on your shoes! July 27

We went to church this morning and hen hung out around the house all day.  We ran out to get dinner and I yelled for Gibson to get on his shoes....this is how we rolled to dinner! 

Spending the night away - July 30

LeLe spent the night last night with LaLa and Gibson stayed for the first time with mother.  

LeLe is spending the night away tonight at our new neighbors katelyn bennett.  So we took Gibson (who is now obsessed with mario) to superior grill.  He loves dancing with he band and just recently started coloring at restaurants. 

First grade!!! July 29th

Where has summer gone?  We had a great morning enjoying the beautiful weather.  The kids had a great time making water balloons.  

We went to the school today to find out who LeLe got for first grade!  We are very excited to announce that we got Mrs. Jett!  We are super excited and well, LeLe is ready to go back tomorrow!  When we got home she immediately started working on addition.  

The counselor spoke to me about us getting a 504 plan which helps with medical needs of children while at school.  I plan on discussing further with her doctor on Monday. 

Chucke cheese!

My cousin Lauren took the kids today to chucke cheese while I ran to Costco.  We then went to superior grill for dinner.  Time is running out in summer!!!

Whiny...whiny...whiny June 23

LeLe took her first dose around 9:00.  I was very fearful that she would be sick to her stomach as she is taking the medicine by mouth.  When I say medicine, she is taking the injectable potion by mouth instead of us injecting her.  If this doesn't work, we will go to injections so please pray that it works! 

We laid around all day hopeful that we wouldn't be sick...and we weren't...and we felt the prayers. 

We decided to go to our neighbors house after dinner....we began a slippery slope downward as the drug began to sink in.  LeLe was not her perky self...instead...reduced to tears.  Our neighbor ended up driving us back home as we could not make it via walking.

Methotrexate round 1 - June 22

We are starting methotrexate in the morning for LeLes psoriasis.  I am very nervous about the whole process as we have been scared to death by all of the side effect waivers and warnings.  Unfortunately, we have been on steriod creams for over a year and nothing is helping my sweet girl.  As you can see from the photo, she is eaten alive by this stuff.  Her front, legs and arms all look like this.  So prayers Are appreciated!!
